Common Mistakes Beginners Make In A Workout

Exercising is very important part of life, but doing it wrongly can cause injuries, deteriorate the performance. 

One needs to minimize the mistakes during workout to have better result.


Here are some common mistake beginners make in workout.

1. Not taking pre workout meal

Having a pre workout meal really helps, it boosts performance, increases your reps, and helps you give your 100% 

Having a banana and a cup of black coffee will help greatly.


2. Not warming up

Warm-up is very much essential before doing any workout. Without warm-up, it’s like you are asking your body to work out before the oxygen and the flow of blood reach your muscles. This increases the risk of injury, and when doing cardiovascular workouts, you increase your heart rate very fast.

3. Not resting enough

Many of us are unaware about this, by exercise by itself will damage your body. While lifting weights, or running, or while interval training, you're actually break down your muscles bit by bit, so that new, stronger muscles are built. After your workout, the body begins the recovery process, and rebuilds itself with the help of high quality, nutrient-rich food and lots of sleep! So if you're missing all this and just focusing on burning calories

4. Not having enough protein

Protein is a macro-nutrient that is essential for body building and is commonly found in animal product, legumes and nuts.


An average adult should consume 1g of protein per kilo of body weight everyday. It also helps greatly in fat loss as protein increases metabolism. It helps in growth and maintenance of tissue. Proteins also acts as chemical messenger that helps in communication between cell, tissues and organs.

5. Not staying hydrated

Being hydrated can improve your workout sessions that can help you exercise longer and burn extra calories and loose weight. Staying hydrated removes waste and melted fat from your body.
Drinking warm water with lemon empty stomach burns fat and keeps you energized through out the day.

6. Not staying consistency

Consistency is the key to everything, same applies for workouts. New gym goers tend to lose their excitement over working out a few weeks in. They start skipping workouts and making excuses. This will add to the time it will take for you to reach your goals and may even hinder your enthusiasm overall. Push yourself through the first few months of working out and eating nutritiously. Make a habit out of working out. Consistency will become easier once you start seeing those desired results

7. Over-doing cardio

Don’t misunderstand, cardio is an important part of any fitness journey especially one that is centered around weight loss. However, in the eagerness of the first few weeks people who start going to the gym concentrate overwhelmingly on cardio and needlessly exhaust their body. Trainers see it all the time, people who spend 2 hours on the elliptical. You’d be better served to do a 30-minute cardio session followed by light weights and circuit training. Remember you want to strengthen the muscle as well.
